Troubleshooting ClickTime Mobile App Permissions

Troubleshooting ClickTime Mobile App Permissions

To ensure full functionality and compliance with company requirements, the ClickTime mobile app requires the following permissions to be enabled on your device:

  • Location Services

  • Motion & Fitness Tracking

  • Photos Access

These permissions support key features such as clock-in validation, document access, and signature capture.

Common Issues When Permissions Are Not Granted

If the app is installed without granting full permissions, users may encounter the following problems:

Signature Not Saving

  • When attempting to save a signature (e.g., during clock-in), the app may fail to save or proceed.

  • Solution: Ensure Photos permission is enabled. This is required for storing and submitting signature images.

Document Access Errors

  • Supervisors or employees may receive an error stating: “You do not have the right permission to download the document” when trying to view certificates, licenses, or shared files.

  • Solution: Confirm that Photos and File Access permissions are granted to allow secure document downloads.
