Managing Shifts With Bulk Actions

Managing Shifts With Bulk Actions

How to Perform Bulk Actions for Employees and Sites on the Scheduler

ClickTime offers a powerful bulk action feature that provides unparalleled flexibility for schedulers. It allows you to efficiently manage shifts for employees and sites at both the employee level and site level. You can perform a variety of actions, such as:

  • Publishing and unpublishing shifts

  • Confirming and making shifts tentative

  • Voiding and unvoiding shifts

  • Deleting shifts

  • Turning shifts into "Open" shifts

  • Locking and unlocking shifts

This functionality ensures that you can quickly apply actions to multiple shifts at once, saving you significant time and effort. Additionally, for fine-tuned control, you can still perform all of these actions on individual shifts, letting you choose the level of detail that suits your needs.

When Bulk Actions Are Useful

This feature is particularly helpful in scenarios such as:

  • Handling Absences: If an employee calls in sick for an entire week or takes urgent leave, you can quickly search for the employee and apply a bulk action to move all their shifts to "Open" or mark them as tentative until replacements are found. This saves you from the hassle of updating each shift individually.

  • Adjusting Site Schedules: If a site requires changes to multiple shifts at once, you can perform the necessary updates with just a few clicks, ensuring that operations remain smooth and uninterrupted.

How to Perform Bulk Actions

Follow these steps to perform bulk actions in the scheduler:

  1. Search for the Site or Employee: Locate the site or employee for which you want to perform the bulk action.

  2. Access the Bulk Action Menu: On the right-hand side of the site or employee, you will see a down arrow inside a circle.

  3. Open the Menu: Click on the down arrow to display a drop-down menu with all the bulk actions available to you.

4. Select an Action: Choose the desired action from the menu. The system will apply the selected action to all the shifts for the chosen employee or site.
