The ClickTime mobile app uses GPS data to track your staff’s locations.
Location tracking allows organisation owners and managers to view the current locations of their staff, and their previous routes, and display
time stamps showing where users were at specific times on the route.
When are locations recorded?
The app will record locations when:
- GPS Tracking is set to ON on time attendance setting.
- Monitor GPS location during shifts is set to ON
- Employee Clock-in for his shift
iPhone Tracking
While the app is location tracking, locations are recorded when:
- Your location changes significantly (iOS determines what changes are significant), or;
- In increments of ~150 meters while in motion
- On iOS/iPhone, we use deferred updates, which send us changes in location once the total movement is > 150 meters. We have no control over the granularity of the locations in the deferred scenario.
- Battery Low Power Mode. Please note that prior to or after clocking in, some staff might put their device into low power mode will reduce the background activities for all apps including ClickTime. If this is turned on by the staff member, the ClickTime app will not have the ability to track the movement of the clocked-in staff during their shifts.
