Setting Up Time Attendance in ClickTime Australia

Which time clocking method to use.

In ClickTime Australia, the Time Attendance settings control how employees clock in and out for their shifts and jobs. Whether you manage rostered schedules, adhoc shifts, or fixed daily hours, configuring these options ensures accurate time attendance records and smooth workforce operations. This guide walks you through each clocking method and how to apply it to your organisation’s needs.

Which time clocking method to use.

Any changes you do on the time attendance settings screen, will affect the behavior of the ClickTime™ Mobile APP and will affect how employees clock in & out for their shifts & jobs.

To access the Time Attendance Setting, navigate to:

Clocking Method

  • If your employees works on roster and scheduled shifts, then tick and set option 1 to ON
  • To allow your staff to clock into work even if they don't have a shift scheduled on the system and If you like your employees to clock against Adhoc shifts, then tick & set option 2 to ON.

Adhoc shifts can be helpful if you have unscheduled shifts where schedule times are not predetermined or in cases where you need to deploy employees to an urgent jobs and sites that have not been yet defined into the system.

  • If your employees work on set hours daily for example from 9.00AM to 5.00PM, then tick and set option 3 to ON. Please note that you can only choose one option for clocking , either option (1) or (3)
