Setting Up a QR Terminal for Shift Clocking – ClickTime Australia

A Guide to QR Terminals: Simplify Clocking In and Out

QR terminal requirements:

    1. Android 5.0 or up
    2. iOS 10.0 or up
    3. Front or back camera
    4. Internet connection (Wifi/mobile data)

2. Install the ClickTime Admin App and configure it according to your needs. 
    ClickTime Admin for Android phones and Tables
    ClickTime Admin for iPhones and Apple Tablets

3. Set up a QR Terminal
  1.  Go to ClickTime Admin App. On the main menu, go to QR clocking
  2.  App will ask you if you want to use the Terminal Mode, click on  YES
  3.  Once entered into Terminal Mode, the app will stay on the clock-in and clock-out screen
  4.  From the dropdown list, select the site where the employee is clocking in or out.
  5.  Once the site is selected, tap the "[Start QR Clocking]" button that appears.
  6.  The app will display the scanner screen. The employee should now scan their assigned digital QR ID
      Note for Employees: Your QR ID can be found in the ClickTime App under Main Menu > My Profile >
      My QR Code/ID
 
4. Mount this device nearby your office entrance and allow employees to clock in/out by scanning their QR codes.

  • Each employee is assigned a digital QR ID on their mobile, which they can use to clock in/out.

  • Employees need to navigate to the ClickTime App Main Menu > My Profile and click the button [My QR Code/ID] to display their assigned QR ID.

  • Employees approach the kiosk and position their mobile with the QR ID facing the kiosk's scanner screen.

  • The kiosk scans the QR code and clocks in the employee.

  • If your settings require capturing digital signatures or photos:

    • The kiosk will prompt the employee to get closer for a photo capture.

    • The same process will be applied for the digital signature.

  • Once the process is completed, the app will display a toast message informing the employee that they have successfully clocked in.

Clock Out:

  • The clock-out process follows the exact same steps as clocking in.
