Copy Shifts

In ClickTime Australia, copying or repeating shifts takes just a few clicks — helping managers save time, maintain schedule accuracy, and keep rosters consistent. Whether you’re creating a new shift and duplicating it for tomorrow, the rest of the week, or specific days, or copying an existing shift directly from the roster view, the process is fast and flexible. You can also duplicate shifts while editing them, ensuring last‑minute changes are applied across multiple days without re‑entering details. This guide walks you through each method so you can choose the quickest approach for your scheduling needs.



Copy Shifts in ClickTime (Few Clicks!)

ClickTime lets you easily copy  a single shift with just a few clicks. Here's how:

1. Create a New Shift:

    With this option, you can create a shift and copy it it at the same time. The system will automatically create the  

      shift  according to the copy option you have selected

 

  • Click "Create Shift" and enter the shift details.
  • In the "Copy" section, choose your copy option:
    • Tomorrow: Creates the shift and copy it for the next day.
    • Rest of Week: Creates the shift and copy it for the remaining days in the current week.
    • Specific Days: Creates the shift and allows you to choose specific days for repetition.

2. Copy Existing Shift Using Right Mouse Click:

1. Navigate to the shift you want to duplicate.
2. Right-click on the shift.
3. A dropdown menu will appear.
4. Select "Copy Shift" from the menu. The system will then show three additional options.
            

3. Copy Existing Shift While Adding or Editing a Shift:

  • Select the shift you want to copy.
  • Edit the shift, click the three dots menu (...) and choose your copy option:
    • Copy for Tomorrow: Copies the shift to the next day.
    • Copy for Rest of Week: Copies the shift for the remaining days in the current week.
    • Copy for Specific Days: Choose specific days to copy the shift.
