How to Blacklist or Prioritise Staff for Specific Sites in ClickTime Australia

Blacklisting Staff from Sites

In ClickTime Australia, you can fine‑tune your rosters by marking employees as Preferred or Blacklisted for specific sites. Preferred staff appear at the top of the scheduler list for that location, making it faster to assign them to shifts. Blacklisted staff are restricted from being rostered at that site and appear at the bottom of the list, ensuring compliance with site requirements, client preferences, or internal policies. This guide explains how to configure preferred and blacklisted staff in the Sites screen, helping you streamline scheduling, maintain operational control, and meet contractual or compliance obligations.

Prioritizing Staff for Specific Sites

ClickTime offers features to help you schedule your most qualified or requested staff for specific work locations.

  • Preferred Staff: When you tag a staff member as "Preferred" for a site, they will appear at the top of the list on the Schedule page for that location. This helps prioritize their selection during scheduling.

  • Restricted Staff: "Blacklisting" a staff member for a site essentially restricts them from being scheduled there. They will appear at the bottom of the Schedule page list for that location and cannot be rostered by default

To configure this feature, simply follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the "Sites" screen and select the desired site where you want to manage preferred and blacklisted staff.
2. Click on the "Preferred Staff" tab.
3. Choose the employee from the dropdown list.
4. tick and select the "Preferred" button to designate the employee as preferred for the site, or choose the "Blacklist" button to blacklist them.
5. Optionally, add any notes and then click the "Save" button.
6. To add more employees to the preferred or blacklisted lists, click the "+ Add" button and repeat the process as needed.

Scheduler Screen
On the scheduler screen, all employees that are tagged as preferred for the site, will always appear on the top list of employees and will be shown as {Preferred]

Black List
All blacklisted employees will be listed at the button list, and you will not be able to add them to the roster.
